A super intense hide-and-seek PVP minigame for Java 1.21.4 (and 1.21.3)
Traditional hide and seek maps have a big flaw: after playing on the same map 20 times, you'll have memorized every block and hiding spot in the game, giving hiders a huge disadvantage and reducing replayability. Mimics! brings a revolutionary concept to the prop hunt genre: Every. Single. Block is a potential prop.
In this game, the Wizards (seekers) are tasked with eliminating the Mimics (hiders), hidden in the map as various blocks. However, the Mimics can and will fight back: each Mimic is equipped with a creeper-like fuse, allowing them to detonate themselves to eliminate the Wizards.
The Wizards are equipped with powerful laser spells, capable of vaporizing any Mimic with a click. But they are also heavily outnumbered: Wizards only have one life each, while Mimics can respawn a fixed amount of times, and are only truly eliminated when they are out of respawns.
The last remaining team will reign victorious. Will the Guild fend off the Mimic crisis, or will civilization fall to sentient, explosive blocks?
